With your generous help, we were able to raise $900 for the Wheelin' Jazz and nearly $1,600 for the Juniors. All money collected goes directly to the teams.

The winners in the Juniors contest were Aimee Vargas who tallied $375 donated in her name while Eliza McIntosh received over 15,000 hits on her profile. Aimee wins a $100gift certificate and Eliza wins $50.

On the Wheelin' Jazz, Bret Remington garnered the most hits while Layne Mangum had $485 donated in his name. Bret wins the $50 gift certificate and the $100 for Layne will be donated back to the team.

This is very helpful to our programs. With your help, our teams can pay for training facilities, equipment, and travel expenses. Every dollar helps. When you consider that a sports wheelchair costs between $2,000 to $4,500, you can begin to understand that for our teams to take the floor, the costs can be prohibitive. Now also consider that some of our players drive over 1 hour each way to come to practice.

This doesn't even begin to place a value on the therapeutic aspect for the players. Having a sporting activity to participate in builds self esteem, confidence, and a way to compete and stay in shape. You can't put a price tag on that.

Now that you have donated, I ask you to take the next step in your support of the teams and/or your player. If you are on Facebook, go to http://www.facebook.com/wheelinjazz, click "Invite Friends" and share the story of the Wheelin' Jazz with your friend list. If you're not on Facebook, send an email to your friends and ask them to visit www.wheelinjazz.com and follow us there.

I ask you to continue following the Wheelin' Jazz as we will have some fun contests and give-a-ways that you can benefit from. We also have a book and DVD by Wheelin' Jazz founder and teammate, Mike Schlappi, for sale on the webpage. Half your purchase price is donated to the team in your name. These are highly motivational and inspiring. You can't go wrong having them in your house.

Again, thank you for supporting the Wheelin' Jazz and Jr. Wheelin' Jazz.

ksl.com - Spina bifida doesn't keep Utah athlete down

Ryan Nelson plays for the Jr Wheelin' Jazz and is a great tennis player.

ksl.com - Spina bifida doesn't keep Utah athlete down

APX Alarms Wheelchair Game

APX Alarms makes Donation
Feb 27, 2010 - APX Alarm Systems recently invited the Wheelin' Jazz to their facility in Provo, Utah to play a game against the management team. In addition, the APX Family Foundation made a $5,000 donation to Neuroworx to aid the Wheelin' Jazz in their upcoming travels.

First up, Shawn Brenchley wanted to put his managers to the test by having them play against one another. With a trip to Disneyland on the line, they went at it for 20 minutes. Competition was fierce and when the horn sounded, nothing had been decided. It took an extra five minute overtime period to decide the game.

Then the Wheelin' Jazz took the court. After spotting the APX managers a 10 point lead, they realized that these guys were just a bit too athletic and fell to the APX team. Wheelin' Jazz members in attendance included Mike Schlappi, Rod Niemann, Bret Reminton, and Layne Mangum as well as Junior members Sam Blakley, Aimee Vargas, Marshall Lindsay, Jason Hall, and Spencer Heslop.

After the game, Shawn Brenchley presented the donation to Mike Schlappi, member of the Neuroworx board of directors. Mike expressed his sincere appreciation for the gift and gave a short inspirational message to all that attended.

A big thank you to APX Alarms and the APX Family Foundation for the opportunity to share our talents with them, and the generous donation they offered. We are into our second week of practice and the team is coming together. We are adding to our numbers and have a few newcomers that will someday be impact players. Right now, it's a learning curve for them but they are learning and coming around.

The preseason poll is out and there's no surprises. The Wheelin' Jazz go into the 2009-10 season as the Number 3 team in the nation. We don't put much into the polls as the teams change from year to year. It does give us a starting point and lets the other teams know to come after us. That should help us stay on top of our game.

Our TSHIRT FUNDRAISER is in full gear. We need help. If you or your company is interested in helping the Wheelin' Jazz, and get a little advertising at the same time, visit tshirt.wheelinjazz.com and sign up. Or contact Layne Mangum at laynemangum@wheelinjazz.com. We'll get you going.

Remember we are hosting a tournament November 20-22. More details will follow but plan on some great hoops. Our new Juniors team will be competing as well as our mens team. We had a great time and were very happy that the Weber State Wheelin' Wildcats could come down and help us out. We were able to present Sam Blakely with his Gold Medal to a very enthusiastic crowd.

Friday night saw us at the National Recreation and Parks Association convention for their big 'end of show' party. We played a few scrimmages to show the large crowd what wheelchair basketball is all about. Then it was time for the participants to get in the chairs and give it a go. Everybody had a good time and the team was presented with a BRAND NEW SPORTS CHAIR from Invacare.

Our practices officially start Tuesday Oct 20. The Juniors and Beginning adults will start at 5:00pm while the Championship Division adults begin at 6:30pm. Practices are at Copperview Recreation Center in Midvale. The address is 8446 South Harrison Street (300 West). The public is welcome.

Our T-Shirt Fundraiser is in full swing. We are looking for sponsors, business or individual, that would like to help the team and get a little publicity as well. Here's how it works. There are three levels of sponsorship. For $100, you get your name on the back of the T-Shirt. For $250, you get your name and logo. For $500, you get your name and logo on one of the sleeves. All proceeds go to the Neuroworx Adaptive Sports programs and the Wheelin' Jazz. If you would like to learn more, respond to this message or email info@wheelinjazz.com. You can also begin your sponsorship online at tshirt.wheelinjazz.com.

If you'd like to help the Wheelin' Jazz, please visit www.wheelinjazz.com. The faculty played very well and came away with an 83-78 win. The faculty was spotted 20 points at the beginning but played hard and earned the win.

Bret Remington, Darrell Mauerman, Katie Terry, and Layne Mangum played for the Wheelin' Jazz. It took until the fourth quarter for the Wheelin' Jazz to catch up and take the lead. At that point, the faculty team was awarded 3 points for each shot and 5 points for a three pointer. That was enough to put them over the top for the win.

The goal of this game is to entertain the severely disabled children that attend the school. It's so much fun to see them laugh and have fun. The court is so small that most of the children get an up close and personal experience, sometimes painful but mostly fun. The ball does bounce off some of the kids but they take it and smile.

Thank you to the administration of the school for allowing us the opportunity to come out and have a positive impact in these special lives. The game was held at Jordan High School. A good time was had by all and when the smoke cleared, the Celebs came away with an 83-80 victory.

The Wheelin' Jazz started off the game in the hole as the audience was able to bribe the scorekeeper to spot the Celebs a 20 point lead. The Wheelin' Jazz did their best but trailed after the first quarter, 32-19. At halftime, the Wheelin' Jazz were still behind due to continued bribes from the crowd.

At the end of the 3rd Quarter, the Wheelin' Jazz had cut the lead to 66-61 but the final bribe of the night was enough to put the Celebs over the top for the victory. In all, the bribes accounted for 50 Celebrity Points.

During the quarter breaks, the audience was entertained by Dance Impressions, a dance group from Bountiful. There were also layup, free throw, and spot shooting challenges from members of the crowd as they competed for prizes. At halftime, the NuSkin Jazz Dancers brought the crowd to life with their dance number and Taylor Vaifunua entertained with a musical number.

All in all, the night was a big success as some money was raised, the crowd was entertained, and everybody went away with a smile on their face. It was also a good night to raise awareness of people with Spinal Cord Injuries and Neuroworx, the rehab clinic that treats the patients.

Thanks to all that participated and helped behind the scenes. Utah used a stingy defense holding leading scorer Jared Johnson to 2 points. Arkansas showed why they are number 1 as they adjusted and hit their free throws down the stretch to hold on.

The first half was played very close as neither team could gain more than than a 4 point lead. Utah made a surge at the end of the half and led 30-28.

Utah started the second half on a run and lead 40-32 with just over 15 minutes remaining. Arkansas then made a run and tied the game at 44. Utah adjusted and again ran up a lead of 6 points at 50-44. From there, Arkansas went on an 11-0 run and led 55-50 with 4 minutes remaining. At that point, Utah began fouling but Arkansas missed only one free throw to ice the game.

Jeff Griffin led the Wheelin Jazz with 18 points followed by Layne Mangum with 14. Jason Hokanson and Rodney Niemann added 10 apiece while Bret Remington and Darrell Mauerman added 5 and 2 points.

Arkansas was led by Steve Tew with 20, John Gould scored 17, Jeff Glasbrenner added 16. The idea behind a basketball team is to show newly injured patients there is life after injury.

The basketball team is doing a heck of a job at being role models, since they've reached the Final Four for the second year in a row. The NWBA, which has more than 200 teams at several different levels, is comprised of individuals out to prove that just because they have disabilities doesn't mean they can't be athletes -- let alone successful ones, as shown by the Wheelin' Jazz.

Last year, the Wheelin' Jazz lost in the semifinals. This week, when the Final Four begins in Denver, Colo., the fifth-ranked Jazz have a huge challenge to get to the title game, since they face top-ranked Arkansas in the semifinals. Second-ranked Orlando and third-ranked Dallas pair off in the other semifinal.

While coach Layne Mangum is hopeful for an upset, it's doubtful there is little that can happen next week to take the satisfaction the team feels after its successful season. The Jazz, who are associated with the Utah Jazz in name only, lost several of their top players and thought they were in for a rebuilding year.

Instead, they went 16-3, with two losses being to Golden State and the other to Dallas.

The Jazz avenged one loss to Golden State in the playoffs and also beat the Lakers, thereby allowing them to claim supremacy over California. Now all they need are two more wins to be the best in the country.

"If you had asked us at the beginning of the season if we could make a return trip to the Final Four, all of us would have answered that we were hopeful, but that it probably wouldn't happen," Mangum said.

They did so not only overcoming opponents on the court, but off the court too. The struggling economy has taken its toll on the group like many other sports teams. Instead of using a budget of $20,000 as they have in the past, the Jazz made do with a budget of closer to $10,000. They didn't travel as much and played more western teams to cut down on costs. Now they're hoping to come up with another $3,000 for next week's trip.

It's money the group sees as well-spent. Eventually, the rehab center wants to have a new building, separated by a glass wall. On one side will be the rehab center and on the other will be a gym where the wheelchair team and other groups can exercise.

"We want to show them the future isn't just sitting at home and being a couch potato the rest of their lives," Mangum said.

They've already succeeded at that mission.
Lya Wodraska lwodraska@sltrib.com

Letter from Lori Ackley

March 1, 2009 in San Jose after Region Championship

Dear Wheelin' Jazz team,

Can I just say, you guys are awesome. Not just on the court but off the court as well. We have had such a great time with you this weekend and it has been fun getting to know you guys on a more personal level.

Over the last year I have realized that each one of us will have challenges in this life. It might appear that some of us have tougher challenges than others. Over time I have learned that the challenges we experience are unique to us as individuals to help us grow in to the person we're supposed to become.

While I was packing for this trip I came across this quote that I wanted to share with you. It goes like this, "You did not come into the world to fail. You came into the world to succeed. You have accomplished much so far. It is only the beginning."

You guys have been awesome role models for our boys and our family thinks that you are: "Simply the Best."

Love, the Ackley Family

Note to our Sponsors - Wheelin' Jazz Update

There's exciting news in Wheelin' Jazz Land. First, we just returned from San Jose, CA where we played the first round of the National Tournament. We came home with the Regional Championship which means we are headed to our second straight Final Four. We had to beat the #9 LA Lakers and the hometown #4 Golden State Warriors.

The Final Four will be March 20 and 21 in Denver. Our Semi-Final game will be March 20 at 1:00pm against the #1 ranked Arkansas Rollin Razorbacks. The other qualifying teams are #2 Orlando Magic Wheels and #3 Dallas Mavericks.

Our next piece of excitement is that we are planning a Celebrity Wheelchair Basketball Game. This event will be held Wednesday, April 1 at Jordan High School. We have several local celebrities on board and will send more info as it becomes available.

Thank you for your support. We look forward to bringing home the National Championship. We could not have done it without you.

Notes of Regional

Sitting on the plane in Oakland. I don't think the reality has set in that we won the West for the second straight year. I never would have guessed it. Holy cow. What a year so far.

Sam Blakely made the trip. He wore #20. He warmed up with us, and kept us stocked with water. Sam will be a great addition to the team next year. He was very impressed with the whole process and the speed of the game. Thanks for coming Sam. Thanks to Marilyn for bringing him.
Special thanks to Lori, Dana, and Marilyn for taking the time and spending their own money to come and cheer us on. I'll mention my wife, Janet, as well although she spent MY money to come.

After the game Saturday, Janet and I, with Sam, Marilyn, Lori, and Dana piled into a van and drove into San Francisco. I took them out to the Golden Gate Bridge for some sightseeing, Fisherman's Wharf for lunch, a drive down Lombard, then to the Oakland Temple. It was a good day and enjoyable to get to know each other better.

Today (Sunday) was one of celebration. We had a great time. After the game, Lori, Dana, and Marilyn bought a card that, when opened, plays "Simply the Best" by Tina Turner. Lori also wrote a letter to the team that I will publish later if she gives me permission. It was very nice and touching.

After the game, we drove into San Francisco, down to the wharf for dinner. We parked and went in to a mexican restaurant. I had just completed my meal when my phone rang. I answered it and somebody asked me if I was in San Francisco. He then told me that he was out on the street and had my backpack. The man calling me was a cab driver who was driving by and saw my bag on the street. He looked through it to find my contact info.

I walked out and there he was. My backpack and all the other bags had been removed from the van and valuables stolen. Jason's DVD player and headphones were gone from his bag. They got my laptop, my wallet and credit/debit cards, iPaq. My Garmin was on the dash but they didn't get it.

As I reflect on the weekend, I realize that I have made some great friendships being a part of this team over the years. There is a bittersweet moment after a win when the realization hits that the team you just eliminated is full of friends and you know and understand their disappointment.

So if the other teams read this, I want to thank them for the dignity they showed in defeat. We have been there and I hope we're as gracious in defeat as they were this weekend. The Lakers and Warriors have been worthy adversaries over the years. More than that, they have been good friends. We look forward to many more battles ahead.

With the exception of the theft in San Francisco, this has been the perfect weekend. I got to enjoy it with my teammates, wife, and the three fans. I don't think we've ever had fans make a trip to watch us play. Thanks for making the trip.

Wheelin' Jazz win Defensive Battle; Advance to 2nd Straight Final Four

The Neuroworx Wheelin' Jazz successfully defended their West Regional Championship with a hard fought victory over the #4 Golden State Road Warriors 54-48. The win puts the Wheelin' Jazz in the NWBA Final Four for the 2nd straight year.

The game was a defensive battle from the beginning with neither team wanting to give an inch. Golden State jumped out early and lead 16-8 midway through the 1st half. Utah chipped away at the lead but trailed by 3 at the half, 26-23.

The Wheelin' Jazz made some defensive adjustments to start the second half and a Bret Remington basket with 12:36 to go gave the Wheelin' Jazz their first lead of the game at 36-34. That basket started a 12-6 run that put the Wheelin' Jazz ahead 48-40 with just over four minutes to go.

Golden State ran off 6 straight points to trim the lead to 48-46. After a timeout, Bret Remington and Mike Schlappi ran the pick-and-roll to perfection ending in a layup that ended the Golden State run. From there, the Wheelin' Jazz tightened up the defense and hit their free throws to seal the win.

Regional MVP Jeff Griffin led all scoring with 19 followed by Bret Remington with 10. Jason Hokanson and Layne Mangum added 8 points apiece, Rod Niemann 6, Mike Schlappi 3.

Golden State was lead by Trooper Johnson's 16, followed by Marcus Oden's 10. Chuck Gill followed with 8 but was held scoreless in the 2nd half.

Next up for the Wheelin' Jazz is the Final Four in Denver, CO March 19-21.

Wheelin' Jazz Advance to Region Championship with big win over LA Lakers

The Neuroworx Wheelin' Jazz dusted off the wheels, withstood an early flurry, and pulled away to beat the #9 LA Lakers 69-43 in the West Region Semi-Final in San Jose, CA. The score does not indicate how close the game was.

The Lakers started the game on a flurry and quickly led 12-6. A pair of Jeff Griffin 3 pointers pulled the Wheelin' Jazz to within 2 at 14-12 and started a 24-10 run that put the Wheelin' Jazz up at the half, 30-22.

The second half was played very even as the Wheelin' Jazz maintained an 8 to 12 point lead. With 6:50 remaining in the game and the score 49-38, the Wheelin' Jazz finished the game on a 20-5 run to seal the win.

Jeff Griffin scored 15 of his game high 19 in the first half, followed by Rod Niemann with 14. Bret Remington scored 12, Layne Mangum 8, Mike Schlappi 7, Jason Hokanson 6, and Big D, Darrell Mauerman scored 1. Laker star (and 1st season 'Big Brother' winner) Eddie McGee scored 16 followed by William Arriaga and Michael Garafola with 13 and 8 points.

Other games today, the Rancho Renegades beat the LA Clippers to advance to the Semi-Final against Golden State in a game later in the day. Golden State beat Rancho to advance to the Championship.

The win puts the Wheelin' Jazz into the West Region Championship against #4 Golden State Road Warriors. Julie had been battling lung cancer for the past several months. Her husband, Bill, passed in 2000. There is a happy reunion in heaven today. Bill and Julie will live on in our hearts and memories.

Julie was a good friend to the Wheelin' Jazz over the years. I believe that after her own Golden State team, she had a very soft spot in her heart for the Wheelin' Jazz. When I called her last March to report that the Wheelin' Jazz had defeated Golden State to advance to the Final Four, she choked up a bit and congratulated me on our acheivement. She was sad for Golden State but took pride in our accomplishment. She knew and understood our frustrations over the years trying to get past Golden State. We had finally done it, and I believe she felt as proud as we did.

Bill Duncan was the founding member of the Golden State 76ers in 1976 (later changed to Road Warriors.) Julie was there with him through the years. She had an extremely sharp wit and was quick with a sarcastic comeback. My first experience with Julie was in 1991. She picked us up at the San Jose airport and took us to our hotel. I was impressed by her kindness, generosity, and quick tongue. She had us laughing all the way to the hotel.

The greatest quality she showed was her dependability. Her word was her bond. Julie did a lot for the sport and was a catalyst to many great things in the NWBA. She loved the game and the athletes. She will be missed. Please keep the Duncan family in your prayers.

A fond farewell to Julie Duncan. Things will not be the same without her.

Raw Video of Fox13 Interview with Mike AND Photo of Bret at 2009 All Star Game

This is the raw footage of an interview shortly after our Final Four appearance. We're on the flight home from a championship run in the Best of the West Shootout. We are now the repeat champions of this tournament. We had a few memorable experiences. Andy Gudmundson was able to make the trip. He unfortunately hit it right off with Bret. These two were hatched from the same egg. At least they kept us entertained.

Play of the Day
We had a near "ESPN Play of the Day" moment. Late in the championship game, I had the ball near half court. I saw Bret breaking to the basket. With everything I had, I threw a lob pass.

Just as I let the ball go, I knew I should never have thrown it. Bret had turned his head and had no idea the ball was coming. Just as he came to a stop and turned to look for the ball, it came down square on his forehead.

Being that he was right under the basket, the ball bounced up to the basket, circled the rim, hung for a moment, then dropped out. The crowd (mostly LA fans) all let out a gasp of astonishment to what they almost witnessed. Then everyone, including players, broke out in laughter. LA got the rebound and had to call a timeout to regain their composure.

Luckily my bonehead play didn't cost us the game and we have a funny memory of the weekend. The best part was that I didn't get yelled at for making a bad play because everyone was laughing. Even Jeff, who immediately gave me the stink eye and was getting ready to yell, had to laugh when everyone else did.

Dinner at the Beach
Saturday night, we drove to Huntington Beach and had dinner at Duke's Seafood & Steakhouse. Wow. Great food with a view of the waves breaking on the beach. After dinner we wandered down the pier and watched as 15-20 foot waves were breaking. Poor Dean was freezing his tookas off. I think he enjoyed it. He's a "crackin' fella" from England. We enjoy having him on the team.

On a side note, Dean may be unable to join us for the remainder of our trips. Dean lives in Montana and the flights are so expensive, he has a hard time paying them himself. I have asked him to do what he can to raise money. We are hoping to get him with us the rest of the way.

Bret gets Lost!
Bret was driving the second van and kept getting lost. He kept losing track of me and ended up following the wrong van. The first time he was right behind me. I pulled in at the airport to pick up the team. I stopped and noticed Bret wasn't behind me. I waited a minute then called him.
When he answered, I asked where he was. He said, "I'm right behind you." I told him I was stopped at the curb and he was nowhere in sight. He thought he was still following me. He did it again coming back to the airport.

Other Notes
I so much enjoy these trips. I'm a 49 year old kid in a candy store. I look around at others my age and realize how lucky I am that, at my age, I still play and contribute to the #5 wheelchair basketball team in the country.

I get frustrated that my skills and conditioning have deteriorated to a point that I no longer play at the level I would like. Then I realize that playing with younger players who take up where I left off, keep me young. I don't need to do the things I could 10 years ago. I am needed more for coaching and teaching.

I still get enough minutes to help the team. Having Jeff and Bret on the team has extended my career as they take so much attention, the defense loses track of me.

I love being a member of the team and love my teammates. They're the best and I'm honored to count them as my friends.

Wheelin' Jazz Successfully Defend Championship

The Neuroworx Wheelin' Jazz successfully defended their Best of the West Shootout championship in a thrilling 61-57 win over the #7 LA Lakers. Jeff Griffin was named MVP of the tournament averaging 22.8 points. The win closes out the 2008-09 season for the Wheelin' Jazz with a record of 13-3.

After just losing in the semi final to Utah, the Lakers came out on a mission, pushing the ball up the floor scoring in transition. They caught the Wheelin' Jazz off guard and pushed out to a 10 point lead before the Wheelin' Jazz could cut the lead to 38-32 at the half.

Halftime was about adjustments for the Wheelin' Jazz. The second half started with a flurry as Utah scored the first 12 points of the half and a run of 16-2 to take a 48-40 lead midway through the half. The Lakers then went on a 10-2 run and tied the score at 50. From there, the Wheelin' Jazz retook the lead and hit their free throws to ice the game.

Tournament MVP Jeff Griffin and Bret Remington both had strong outings scoring 22 and 12 points respectively. Layne Mangum added 9 while Rod Niemann scored 8. The Lakers were led by William Arriaga and Edward Perdano with 18 and 13 points.

Next up is the National Tournament with the Regional scheduled for Feb 28 and March 1.

Wheelin' Jazz Defeat Golden State 61-57

The Best in the West Shootout continued as the Wheelin' Jazz faced the #4 Golden State Warriors in the Semi Final game. Leaving on Friday morning, they drove all day and, with kids on board adding to the fun, arrived in Phoenix. It had to be a very tiring day.

Did they go to their hotel and crash? No! They took to the time to find the team hotel, decorating the rooms with customized "Wheelin' Jazz" water bottles, snack bags with trail mix, beef and turkey jerkey, and apples. They also took the time to create a poster welcoming the team to Arizona and wishing us well in the tournament.

Thanks to Lori, Robert, Justin, Jeremy, Steven, and Tyson for supporting the team.

Oops, my wife just yelled at me for having an apostrophe in the Ackley's name. Right? What happened January 2, 2009 to the Utah Wheelin' Jazz needs to stay in Vegas.

We left home early Friday to be sure we would be in Las Vegas in time to watch the Utah, Alabama Sugar Bowl (Utes won 31-17!) We arrived, checked in, and got to our room in time for the kickoff.

A little bit after halftime, we started noticing a scent that was very unpleasant. I had turned on the fan a bit earlier so Jeff and Darrell thought that somebody was smoking outside. It did smell like a bad stogy but I was unconvinced.

I made my way around the room and found that one of the ceiling lights was extremely hot to the touch and the smell was growing stronger. We could also see that our room was filling with smoke. I told Jeff to call the front desk and just as he was connected, the smoke alarm went off.

He reported the smoke alarm and they told him they would be right over. In the next 10-15 minutes that we waited, Darrell mentioned that at least we knew there would be a quick response in case of an actual emergency. Yes it actually took about 15 minutes for a response.

When the maintenance man showed up, I told him I thought it was the light fixture. But I had turned it off 20 minutes ago and the smoke was still getting thicker. The smell was unbearable. At about this time, another employee showed up and mentioned that someone had called in saying they had left some food on the stove with the burner on.

They left for about 10 minutes then came back and confirmed that the tenant directly behind us had indeed left the burner on. By this time, we were outside trying to watch the game through the window. We had already grabbed all our bags and gear as we waited for the building to go up in flames.

We were in room 1108. Mike, Rod, and Jason were next door in 1109 but they were at Sam's Town watching the game. I had Tina (our friendly front desk person) let me in to 1109 so I could see if their room was ok. It seemed fine. I texted Mike and told him what was going on. He thought I was joking.

Tina offered us another room and had another one assigned. We moved over to 1109 to continue watching the game when we realized it was starting to smell foul as well. The room closest to ours starting to fill with smoke. We quickly moved Rodney and Jason's belongings out of the room and closed the door. I then called Tina to let her know that we needed 2 rooms.

All things work out well. After they moved us into new rooms, Tina let me know that the person who had left the burner on was none other than the General Manager and he comp'd our rooms.

Wheelin' Jazz Defeat Wheelin' Wildcats

December 9, 2008

The Neuorworx Wheelin' Jazz played host to the Weber State Wheelin' Wildcats on December 9, 2008.
